Tucked away in a rustic red barn, in the cool elevations
of Waiakea Uka, a family run company has been making gourmet ice
cream on the Big Island since 1990. With a flavor for any
palette, Hilo Homemade Ice Cream offers a delectable array of
choices; from the purely local flavors such as Ginger, Macadamia
Nut, Poha Berry and Kona Coffee, to the contemporary and
ever-popular flavors like Blueberry Cheesecake and Mud Pie.
From the Orient, the delicate Green Tea has no artificial flavoring
and no artificial coloring, the tea itself coming from a Tea House
in Japan that specializes only in Green Tea, and hand carried to
Hawaii by visiting friends. At Hilo Homemade Ice Cream, we
emphasize the freshest in Hawaii grown products, and yet we will
search the world for other unique and exotic ingredients. If
